Photography is a pastime which offers ample opportunity for memorable souvenirs of your holiday.

Snap "Eas Coul Aulin", the tallest waterfall in Britain, from a boat trip on Loch Glencoul, while a sea cruise allows opportunity to view seal colonies and perhaps dolphins, porpoises and whales, as well as a wide range of bird life - the R.S.P.B. Bird Reserve on the island of Handa is well worth a visit.
Nearer home, herds of magnificent Red Deer roam the hills, and are often seen in the hotel grounds.

Take a stroll along the road to Ardvreck Castle, built circa 1490 bt the MacLeods, now a three storey ruin. From this vantage point you have a clear view of the length of Loch Assynt, with it's many beautiful beaches and coves.
